Dear Members of the Tabernacle Community,
We cannot rest on past laurels if our schools are to remain high performing for all students. Our schools are the anchor of our community and when they are excellent, they serve to attract new residents and help to stabilize home values. As always, we continue to focus on maintaining a high quality school district in a fiscally responsible manner.
Our initiatives for achieving excellence in education for 2012-2013 are: 1.) Adopting the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, in response to the NJ legislature's passage of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, and training all staff on the prevention of bullying; 2.) Enhancing our early childhood educational programs for our preschoolers and kindergarteners; 3.) Embarking on a four year professional development plan focusing on enhancing language arts literacy instruction and the curriculum for all students, and; 4.) Ensuring our students have access to a full array of school guidance services in all grades as required by the NJ Department of Education.
